そういえば前の日曜日に無事、TOEICを受けてきました。危惧していたほど難しくは無かったです。
もったいなかったのが、前回までReadingは
PartVII(読解) → PartV(文法・語彙) → PartVI(誤文訂正)
と解いていたところを普通の
PartV → PartVI → PartVII
という順番に戻したら案の定、時間が足りなくなって読解で4マークほど勘で塗った点。
前回(2年前)までは文法・語彙と誤文訂正が死ぬほど苦手で、かつ読解は時間さえあれば解けていたので読解を最初に解いていました。ちなみに、この時も時間が足りなくなったので、誤聞訂正で7、8マークくらいは勘で塗っていました（この時は、「どうせ解けないし」とか思っていた）。
今回は、文法・語彙の知識が少しはついた（というか、問題が解けるようになった）と感じていたので、問題番号順に解いて読解は最後にまわしました。結果、勘で塗った数は減ったものの、時間さえあれば解ける読解問題で4マーク落としました。
これは、どっちが良いんでしょうね。どんな順番で解いても15分余る……というのが理想的ですが（笑）、そういうわけにもいかないですし。
単純に考えると、「時間があれば解ける（はず）」の読解問題を頭に持ってくるのが正解のような気がします。しかし、逆に、最初の読解で時間をかけすぎて後がぐだぐだ、ということになりかねない気もします。
読解問題は十分な時間をとりたい問題であると同時に、解くペースが最も大きく変化する（変えることができる？）問題でもあります。だから時間的に安心できる最初に読解に手をつけるのは危険……かもしれません。
逆に、文法・語彙問題や誤文訂正問題は、基本的には「知ってるか知らないか」「気づくか気づかないか」なので解くペースを変化させにくいです。つまりこの2種が残ってる状態で時間が足りないと、もう絶対に間に合いません。
ということで、ある程度の時間配分を決めておくのは当然として、その上で、
読解を決めた時間(-5分くらい)で絶対に終わらせることができる意志の強い人、読解に自身のある人は
PartVII → PartV → PartVI
普通の人は
PartV → partVI → PartVII
と順当に解くのが良いように思えます。最後に PartVII で焦る……というのが大切なのかも（？）。
ちなみに、今回の試験での時間配分は事前に
PartV : 20分 , PartVI : 10分 , PartVII : 45分
と決めておいて、実際は
PartV : 26分 , partVI : 12分 , PartVII : 37分
程度でした。PartV , PartVI で生じた8分の遅れがそのまま4マーク分の遅れになってる感じですね。焦りが足りない！
ちなみにListeningはPartIVの説明文問題が鬼門。音声が流れる前に問題を読まなくても解ける、というのが理想的ですが、なかなかそうもいかないですねぇ。。そして、1つの文章につき2,3問まとめて出題されるので、問題を先に読む作業そのものが異様に難しい……。
