スペースシップワンの宇宙飛行、成功したようですね。ところで、パイロットが一人しか搭乗していなかったようなので、X-prizeへの挑戦では無いのかな……？最も優勝に近い会社であることは間違いないでしょうけど。
ところで、この事業にスケールドコンポジット社は2000万ドルを投資した様です。X-prizeは1000万ドル。う～ん（笑）。ただ、スペースシャトルの１回打ち上げ費用が約4億7000万ドル、機体の値段が約17億ドルということを考えるとむちゃくちゃ安いのかもしれません（まぁ、技術的にもまだ比べられる物ではありませんが）。
今後はどれだけ費用を押さえながら宇宙に滞在する時間を長くしていくか（地球の軌道にのせる）が課題でしょうか。
